Hawker Fare The Cookbook is Available!
In true Lao fashion Chef James Syhabout celebrated the release of his first cookbook “Hawker Fare” in New York City with a cameo next to Anthony Bourdain on CBS This Morning, cooking up a storm at Wild Air NYC Restaurant, then chopping it up with fellow Chef Wyle Dusfresne.
We attended his talk with Bourdain and Dufresne, where James credited what his refugee mom could churn out with so little, and says that even with his Michelin-stars, at the end the day he’ll still make Mama noodles. #TeamMeeMama
He returns home to Oakland to a backyard party complete with his uncle’s Lao music. If that isn’t a way to celebrate then we don’t know what is. Congrats Chef! Hawker Fare is currently available for order on Amazon.
