Three Thanksgiving Stories

You may be winding down on your family time, (or if you run on Lao time, you're just getting started) but these moments spent together gives us many things to reflect on. Three of our participating Lao foods companies were kind enough to share memories what they're thankful for. Below are the photos sent in from kohk & sahk, ma Der Food Co and Sap Sap, check out the full stories over at our Submissions Page.

Alex Hanesakda (smiling) of Sap Sap with his family in the refugee camp, where he learned the essence of Lao "soul food".

kohk & sahk's Thip Soulisak's got his hustle from his mom, who also sold her food at Lao social gatherings.

Despite being all brothers the Sirisavath family credit their late mom for teaching them everything about Lao cooking they know to start Ma Der Food Co.

Now's the time to ask questions and get those stories in, if you'd like to submit something email us info@laosinthehouse.com. We're thankful for all of your stories.
